About Us/Why Choose Us
Lightning Auto, Boat & RV Detail is a mobile detailing business located in Orange County, CA, since November 1989 and is owned and operated by Paul Burner. We cover all of the Orange County area as well as much of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego Counties. We also serve Lake Havasu City and Parker, AZ, on a limited, appointment-only basis.
We serve all boat and RV storage facilities, campgrounds, and RV parks from LA to San Diego that have available water and electrical facilities for our use. To my knowledge, no other detailing company does this! We will, of course, come to your home or place of business and take great care of you there.
We specialize in and are true experts with black, red, and other dark-colored vehicles, as well as the big, tough jobs that most of our competitors can’t or won’t do: RVs, boats, big rig trucks and trailers, 5th wheel and travel trailers, construction equipment, and even small aircraft. We are quite experienced in cleaning engines and engine compartments in cars, trucks, boats, and RVs and doing it as environmentally safe and clean as possible. We do it all, and we come to you!
We promise fast, friendly, and professional service and use only the finest of methods and products available. We welcome vendors who sell new and improved products and chemicals, especially those that are environmentally clean, safe, and of excellent quality. We do our best to keep your costs down, but our main goal is to do an absolutely incredible job.
Discount detailers are a dime a dozen, and they’re everywhere. Most of them do a substandard job for a cheap price, and we don’t want to be like them. Our work will look better and last longer than theirs and is, therefore, a much better value.
Please visit our Photo Gallery page and Testimonials/FAQs and Tips page.
To summarize, we promise to deliver the finest, friendliest, most dependable service money can buy at a reasonable price. Our work will outlast the work of the discount guys, and therefore, we are a much better value. You will save money by choosing us over the discount guys because of the durability of our workmanship.
We will give you important aftercare instructions so you’ll know how to care for your vehicle, RV, or boat properly. We want your vehicle to look its best for as long as possible, as you’ll be more likely to call on us in the future and feel happy and confident to pass us on to friends and family.
Note: We are seeking extremely experienced detailers as we continue to grow. Email us with your expert qualifications. We do not hire illegal immigrants. All our employees are US citizens.
The above photos are of a 1999 19′ Chaparral boat. The boat’s bottom, and all the way up to the water line had a very thick algae stain; it looked like rust. It was a hell of a struggle, but we were successful in removing all of it. The boat owner was elated, and our efforts were rewarded with a $100. tip! He’s had us back every year since then to maintain it.
I sure do remember the heavy oxidation on the roof and entire camper shell of the above Toyota truck, which was also covered with a thick layer of surfboard wax. You know this job had to be one hell of a struggle to get done right.
The above 1994 Buick was at the brink of hell when we started working on it. This one was a real challenge, to say the least.
The above photos are of a 1996 26′ Sea Ray boat we detailed a while ago. This was one of the more difficult jobs we’ve done because it was not only black but very heavily oxidized. Can you imagine how hard it was to detail without leaving swirl marks from the buffer? As you can see we made her shine like a brand-new dime, and swirl free. You can even see the color of the grass and flowers in the reflection!
We detailed almost a dozen orange trucks and an RV for Jensen Relocation in Torrance, and each and every one of them looked like the ones in these photos. There’s nobody like us when it comes to the big, tough jobs. We just carve `em up like Thanksgiving turkey!
